AEW Dynamite & NXT Drop in Numbers This Week

Showbuzz Daily has the overnight ratings for this week’s episodes of AEW Dynamite and NXT. While it was once again Dynamite’s victory this week, both shows had significant losses in viewership and ratings due to the Impeachment Hearing coverage dominating the cable airwaves.

AEW Dynamite numbers were back down again this week after climbing back up for last week’s live Beach Break special. The show finished with an overnight viewership of 741,000 viewers, compared to last week’s 844,000 viewers. It is the second-lowest viewership for Dynamite in 2021 thus far.

Despite another loss in viewership for AEW, NXT wasn’t able to really close the gap. NXT finished with 558,000 viewers, falling from last week’s 610,000 viewership number.

Ratings also fell for both shows this week. In the P18-49 key demo rating, Dynamite finished with a 0.29, which is down from the 0.32 rating for the February 3 episode.

Meanwhile, NXT finished with a 0.12 rating, down from last week’s 0.15 in the same key demo. This is tied for NXT’s lowest rating in the key demo from 2020 (Dec. 30).

After ranking No. 3 in the Cable Top 150 last week, AEW Dynamite fell out of the Top 20 last night and finished at No. 21. NXT dropped as well, falling to No. 62 after last week’s show ranked No. 51.

CNN coverage of the Impeachment trial topped the ratings for Wednesday night with a 0.62 rating in the key demo. The Rachel Maddow Show on MSNBC topped the viewership for the evening with 4.453 million viewers.
